Short films. Different voices. Big ideas.

voxdocs is a new initiative from Shark Island Institute and Documentary Australia Foundation, in association with The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.

Eight of Australia’s best and emerging filmmakers have been invited to each create a 3–5 minute documentary that explores the current state of the performing arts in Australia.

As part of The Good Weekend’s Art & Culture issue, you’ll find the films on The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age websites from October 3rd 2020.

We’re excited to announce the documentary directors for our first slate of voxdocs films: Santilla Chingaipe, Ian Darling, Hollie Fifer, Maya Newell, Cornel Ozies, Maria Tran, Tamara Whyte & Alex Wu.
