Rhys Morris

Rhys Morris is the Digital Director and Senior Designer of Shark Island Institute.

He is an award-winning designer with a long career in digital production, art and graphic design. He’s been on the Board of Management for many not-for-profit organisations supporting the arts community.

Before Shark Island Institute, Rhys worked as a designer for creative agencies in Sydney and was a long-time Director of a creative company, working predominantly with small to medium enterprises and independent arts organisations.

Recently in his spare time, he has been commissioned to design and create sets for local independent theatre and was winner of Best Overall Design at The Blue Room Theatre Awards for a production of HIRO. More >

Rhys was a volunteer for Children’s Rights International, working to develop youth justice in South East Asia and continues to do in-kind volunteer work for a Community foundation in Northern NSW.

He has a BA in Visual Communications and Design from Victoria University, Wellington.
