The ARTSLAB hosts regular music events (including Steve Kilbey; Leonardo’s Bride; Tim Rogers; Montaigne; Holidays on Ice; Direwolf; Baby et Lulu; Oh Reach; and Benji and the Saltwater Sound System); and screens new films, typically in the presence of the filmmakers and cast. These films have included Paul Kelly — Stories of Me; That Sugar Film; Frackman; Bully; How to Change the World; Suzy & The Simple Man; Last Cab to Darwin; Sweet Country; The Final Quarter; and 2040. Theatre and comedy shows include Tempting Morsels; Songs About Girls & Their Fingertips; Greg Fleet and The Way of All Fish. 2019 saw the first pop-up visual artist exhibition, showing art by twelve women artists who were also there to speak about their work.

Programming reflects The ARTSLAB’s philosophy of connecting artists to their audience by including discussion as part of the artistic program. Events include in-conversations with actors and musicians; Q and A’s with filmmakers; artist residencies and presentation of new work and works in progress.
