SYNOPSIS

From stress, trauma, depression and anxiety, to cyber bullying and tech addiction, parents all over the world are worried sick about predicaments their forbears never faced.

For journalist Shannon Harvey, the mental wellbeing of young people is personal. With a family history of severe depression and addiction, her two sons are growing up during a global pandemic and climate emergency; at a time of technological disruption, political polarisation and economic inequality.

Following the success of her award-winning film, My Year of Living Mindfully, Shannon now asks the questions every parent wants answered — Is there an equivalent of a vaccination for mental illness? And how can our kids flourish against the odds?

Featuring a new generation of experts working across the socio-economic divide, Shannon embarks on a global journey to uncover life-changing prevention strategies and reveal how nurturing resilient kids is far from being a game of chance.
