We back outstanding Australian film teams, with compelling proposals for documentary projects together with targeted education and outreach programs that can amplify their impact.

We are looking to support a broad range of filmmakers, from established artists to new voices, telling Australian stories from all perspectives, across a variety of subjects, capturing the full range of human experience.

We want to support filmmakers who are prepared to take risks, explore new ground, investigate, reveal, inspire and entertain.

Films will only be considered if they have realistic budgets and funding strategies.

Ideally, we would like films we support to be:

• Character-driven
• To express a point of view
• Have a creative vision
• A clear artistic style
• The potential to shift thinking

Duration:

Our preference is for feature length documentary (75 minutes +).

We will also consider:

• One-off documentaries (52 minutes)
• Short-form (up to 40 min)
• Serialised documentary

These films must have a clearly identifiable audience and a strong engagement strategy.

We want filmmakers to present targeted, realistic outreach and education plans for their films.
