Tiernan Rennie is Manager of The Old Store at Shark Island Kangaroo Valley. He is also a performer and maker, and an alumnus of Story Assembly — Shark Island’s year-long program for emerging actors and theatre makers. He has had a strong connection with Kangaroo Valley since he was young.
Before joining the Shark Island team, he worked in the arts and beyond: in culture change and organisational development consulting, in marketing, as a greensman on film sets in the UK, and in property maintenance in the Southern Highlands, where he now lives. He has a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Performance Making from WAAPA and a Bachelor of Communications from UTS.
His work and studies reflect a commitment to finding artistic expression, even in things that are not explicitly art. He is delighted to be managing The Old Store, and to be sharing the work of new and established artists and performers with the Kangaroo Valley community and beyond.
